Recruitment Overview

Job Description

The Assistant Quality Control Officer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and processes within IOCL’s various divisions. This includes conducting quality assessments, implementing quality control measures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent disciplines from recognized Indian universities/institutes through regular full-time mode. Equivalent disciplines include Inorganic, Organic, Analytical, Physical, Applied, or Industrial Chemistry. Other branches such as Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Toxicology, Geochemistry, Pharmacology, Food Technology, etc., are not considered eligible.
  • Minimum Marks: General, OBC(NCL), and EWS category candidates should have secured at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree examination. For SC, ST, and PwBD candidates, the minimum required marks are 55%.
  • Experience: Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a laboratory engaged in testing petroleum and petroleum products, petrochemicals, or polymers. Experience gained after the date of declaration of the final result of the qualifying degree will only be considered.
  • Age Limit: The upper age limit for General and EWS category candidates is 30 years as of February 29, 2025. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories as per government norms.

Reservation Details

The total number of vacancies is 97, distributed as follows:

  • Unreserved (UR): 45
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 13
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 6
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): 24
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 9

Pay Scale and Benefits
